Lake Lure sits where the Hickory Nut Gorge opens up around the water, and most of the lakefront bamboo we're called about started as a deliberate screen, something planted to block a neighbor's sightline or shade a porch, that has since worked its way downhill on nothing but gravity and spreading rhizomes. By the time it reaches the shoreline or a shared dock path, what began as landscaping has turned into a boundary problem.

Bigger stands, tighter access near a foundation or driveway, and rhizomes that have already spread move the number up, and you see that number in writing before we schedule anything.

My bamboo has spread most of the way to the water and there's no road access below. Can you still reach it?
Often, yes. Our remote-controlled mulcher works from whichever side of the slope has access and handles grades nobody could safely stand on. If a property genuinely has no safe approach from either direction, we'll say so at the walk-through rather than quote work we can't actually do; send photos with your request and we'll usually know in advance.
Does clearing bamboo near the Lake Lure shoreline require a permit?
It can. Work close to the water or on a steep slope around the lake sometimes falls under rules a flat inland yard doesn't. We confirm what's required for your specific parcel before quoting and handle any paperwork ourselves; a possible permit is never a reason to skip asking for a number.
