THE CULMS
Cut and mulch
Forestry mulching takes the culms and the brush growing up around them down to a mulch layer in one pass. Nothing is hauled, nothing is burned.
CLIFFSIDE, RUTHERFORD COUNTY
Cliffside's tight mill-village lots often carry an old bamboo screen planted along a shared alley or a bank toward the river, one that's since spread further than anyone intended. We clear the fence line and the bank, treat the rhizomes and come back, fourteen miles from our shop.
Done by Brush Masters, Rutherfordton, NC. Fixed written price, no day rates.
Land clearing from $1,500. Sounds crazy? It's not. It depends on acreage and location.
Our promise: a fixed written price before we start. No day rates. Nonstandard access or extra follow-up work is quoted before anything is scheduled.

What's includedBAMBOO IN CLIFFSIDE
The old Cliffside Mills complex, near where Rutherford County meets Cleveland County, is the reason this village's housing sits on such small, closely packed lots, many laid out in tight rows sharing an alley or a short bank out back. Bamboo here is almost never a wide, open-field problem; it's a narrow one, usually a privacy planting along a shared alley or behind a row of houses that's since pushed into the yard next door.
Cliffside Fire & Rescue, a volunteer department reachable by a P.O. Box in the village itself, is one of several the county fire marshal's office lists for this corner of Rutherford County, right where it meets Cleveland County; several jobs we've priced in this area technically span both counties at once. Several Cliffside lots also drop off toward a bank along the Second Broad River, and a planting that's worked its way down one of those banks ends up looking more like a lakefront job near Lake Lure than an ordinary yard clearing.
A Cliffside quote, fourteen miles from Rutherfordton, has to account for both the tight village access and whatever slope the bamboo has reached, priced as its own line item instead of a guess at a flat number. It's still a fixed, written first-visit price before we start, with rhizome treatment included whether the lot is a small mill-house yard or a bank down toward the river. Return visits for new shoots are recommended and quoted separately as a maintenance plan.

THE CULMS
Forestry mulching takes the culms and the brush growing up around them down to a mulch layer in one pass. Nothing is hauled, nothing is burned.
THE RHIZOMES
Bamboo regrows from rhizomes running underground from every culm. We treat them so new growth is a handful of shoots, not a new stand.
THE MAINTENANCE PLAN
We recommend coming back through the growing season to cut what resprouts. Those return visits are quoted separately as a maintenance plan, and you see the price before anything is scheduled.

THE FROM $1,500 PRICE
Land clearing from $1,500. Sounds crazy? It's not. It depends on acreage and location.
The $1,500 starting price covers the first visit: cutting and mulching the growth and treating the rhizomes on a small, accessible area, such as a planted screen that escaped its bed. Bigger stands, tighter access near a foundation or driveway, and rhizomes that have already spread move the number up, and you see that number in writing before we schedule anything.
Our promise: a fixed written price before we start. No day rates. Nonstandard access or extra follow-up work is quoted before anything is scheduled.
Bamboo regrows from rhizomes left in the ground. Mulching alone is not removal, which is why we recommend return visits. Return visits for regrowth are quoted separately as a maintenance plan, and you see that price in writing before anything is scheduled.
HOW IT WORKS
Call, text or send the form with the property location and roughly how far the bamboo has spread. Photos help.
We look at access, how far the rhizomes reach and how dense the stand is, then send a fixed written price. No day rates.
Culms are mulched in place and rhizomes are treated on the first visit. We recommend coming back through the growing season to cut new shoots, quoted separately as a maintenance plan.
CLOSE TO HOME
Based in Rutherfordton. Working Rutherford, Polk, Cleveland, McDowell and Henderson counties and the Spartanburg side of the state line.
Not listed? Call anyway. If it is within about an hour of Rutherfordton we probably cover it.
Usually. Crews here are used to squeezing into tight, close-set yards, and whatever the machine can't safely reach just gets cut by hand instead. On the rare lot where an alley or gap is genuinely too narrow, we say so up front at the walk-through instead of pretending we can get equipment somewhere it can't go.
Once bamboo has worked its way far enough down a bank to be unsafe to cut by hand, yes, the same remote-controlled mulcher used on lakefront slopes comes into play here too. Several Cliffside properties sit above real grade toward the river, and that slope work gets its own line in the quote rather than getting absorbed into a flat number.
