Brush Masters is a forestry mulching and land clearing company based in Rutherfordton, North Carolina. Since 2020 the crew has cleared more than 2,500 acres across more than 400 projects: residential back lots, pasture and fence lines, steep lakefront ground at Lake Lure, storm cleanup in the Hickory Nut Gorge, and invasive growth like bamboo, privet and honeysuckle that has been left alone too long.

The equipment matters for bamboo. Tracked forestry mulchers turn a stand of culms and the brush growing up around them into a mulch layer in one pass, with nothing hauled and nothing burned. Bamboo growing tight against a foundation, a driveway edge or a crawl space vent gets cleared by hand instead, since the machine cannot always get close enough to work safely. For land clearing on steep ground, Brush Masters runs a remote-controlled mulcher rated for slopes up to 55 degrees.

Every project gets one written number, settled before the crew ever starts, and there are no day rates. The $1,500 starting price covers the first visit: cutting and mulching the culms and treating the rhizomes on a small, accessible area, and it climbs from there based on acreage, how far the rhizomes have spread, access, and how thick the stand is. Return visits to cut new shoots are quoted separately as a maintenance plan; we recommend them for bamboo, and you see that price in writing before anything is scheduled.

Rutherford County comes first, and the crew regularly extends into Polk, Cleveland, McDowell and Henderson counties, plus the Spartanburg side of the South Carolina line.
